FAIR PLAY 2022 IS NOW OPEN FOR YOUR ANTI-CORRUPTION MUSIC VIDEOS

Are you a musician or band with a message? Are you between the ages of 18 and 35? Then Fair Play is for you! Submit a moving music video by the 1st of September 2022 to Fair Play and you could be flying with your band to perform in Washington DC this December.

Fair Play is a global movement of young musicians speaking out against corruption and social injustice in their communities and beyond. Brought to you by JM International in partnership with Transparency International, Fair Play calls on musicians (18-35 years) to create music videos that take on corruption and raise awareness through their art.

Musicians from around the world are called on to create and submit original songs on the theme of anti-corruption, integrity and the fight for social justice before the deadline of 1 September 2020. They can do so here.

This year we will be selecting 2-3 of groups to perform at Fair Play Live in Washington DC, USA, taking place during the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) - the world’s largest anti-corruption event - from the 6th to the 10th of December 2022.

Selected artists will have the opportunity to participate in the IACC, which brings together around 2000 participants from over 135 countries worldwide. It is a unique opportunity to connect with other socially engaged bands, receive training on how to amplify your music and activism, tap into a global anti-corruption network, and of course, perform for an audience of heads of state, civil society, the private sector and others who are working to tackle the increasingly sophisticated challenges posed by corruption.

By creating an international network of artists, speaking out against corruption, Fair Play raises awareness amongst young people and connects them with concrete strategies to fight corruption in their communities. Previous Fair Play winners include Nasseman (Liberia), Rain in Sahara (India), Haha Que Pase (Colombia), Faith Mussa (Malawi), Barbaroots (Tunisia), Youssra El Hawary (Egypt), Des Bruces Ami (Colombia) and SIMPONI (Indonesia).

Fair Play is looking for songs and videos that are high in musical quality, have a strong social message and that have visual impact as music videos. Winning bands/soloists must also demonstrate a solid performance potential as each winner will perform a 30 min set in Washington D.C.
